Google Boosts Productivity: AI Now Turns Your Outlines into Presentations

Published on

Google is deepening its AI integration with a highly practical new feature. Users can now take a simple text outline, a long report, or any document and have Google’s Gemini AI automatically build a complete, professionally designed slide deck from it.
This new feature, found in Gemini Canvas, is designed to eliminate the tedious hours spent on manual formatting. The AI intelligently parses the document, creating a structured presentation with appropriate titles, section breaks, and even complementary visuals.
This marks a significant step for Google’s AI. It’s moving from being a helpful writing assistant to a true productivity partner that can handle multi-step, creative tasks like presentation design, saving users significant time and effort.
The workflow is seamless. After Gemini Canvas generates the slide deck, it can be exported directly to Google Slides. This allows users to make final adjustments, add specific details, or collaborate with their team.
The global rollout is already in progress for all Google users, whether on a personal account or a corporate Workspace plan. Early access appears to be prioritized for Gemini Advanced (Pro) subscribers, but a wider release for all users is expected shortly.
