Graveyard Gala Reveal: Lady Gaga’s ‘The Dead Dance’ to Haunt Wednesday Season 2

Published on

In a perfectly themed “Graveyard Gala” in New York City, Lady Gaga emerged to announce her chilling new single, “The Dead Dance.” The track is an official tie-in for the second season of the Netflix hit Wednesday and will be released on September 3, 2025.
Sharing the stage with the series’ stars Jenna Ortega, Emma Myers, and Joy Sunday, Gaga revealed that the song’s release is strategically aligned with the premiere of Season 2, Part 2. “I’m so excited for you to see it,” she told the cheering attendees, emphasizing the song’s integral role within the show.
The event offered a unique listening experience, with guests invited into coffin-themed booths to hear an exclusive preview of the track. Gaga’s playful remark, “I hope you’re really comfortable in your caskets,” captured the macabre fun of the evening and the spirit of the collaboration.
Further cementing her connection to the show, Gaga confirmed her work on the season and praised director Tim Burton. A new trailer has fanned the flames of speculation, featuring a voice widely believed to be Gaga’s, suggesting she will be a formidable new presence at Nevermore Academy.
