Whether driven by that skepticism or simple negligence, the result was that US forces entered the Iran conflict without the defensive tools Kyiv had offered.
Ukraine was contacted for help once the cost of that omission became clear. The response was immediate — specialists were dispatched to Jordan within a day. Zelensky described the deployment as an expression of the partnership between the two nations, noting that teams were also being sent to Gulf states.
