Houthi Aggression Met with Israeli Firepower in Deadly Yemen Strikes

Published on

Houthi aggression against Israel was met with overwhelming Israeli firepower, as a series of airstrikes devastated targets in the Yemeni capital of Sanaa. The exchange marks a severe escalation, with Houthi officials reporting six people killed and dozens more wounded in the retaliatory bombardment.
The trigger for the Israeli action was a Houthi ballistic missile fired towards Israel, which the Israeli military said was armed with a cluster bomb. This provocation led to a swift and forceful response, targeting a military compound, a fuel depot, and power stations deep inside Houthi-controlled territory.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made it clear that such attacks would not go unanswered. He stated that the “Houthi terrorist regime” is being taught a hard lesson about the consequences of targeting Israel and that they are paying a “very heavy price.”
While Israel’s Defence Minister claimed the destruction of the Houthi presidential palace, the primary confirmed outcome is the human toll and the significant damage to infrastructure. The strikes serve as a powerful demonstration of Israel’s military reach and its low tolerance for threats from Iran-backed proxies.
