Trump Claims “Operation Epic Fury” Far Ahead of Schedule in Iran

Published on

President Donald Trump has expressed high confidence in the progress of the joint U.S.-Israeli campaign, asserting that the war is “very far ahead of schedule.” During a call with reporters, Trump noted that the primary military goals—the destruction of Iran’s navy and air force—have been achieved in record time. He emphasized that his administration’s decisive action has prevented a long-term quagmire.
While Trump remains optimistic, the political situation in Tehran is rapidly evolving following the death of the previous leader. The formal appointment of Mojtaba Khamenei as Supreme Leader has been met with skepticism from the White House, with Trump labeling the choice a significant blunder. Despite the regime’s attempt at continuity, the U.S. continues to target high-value military infrastructure across Iran.
The President described the ongoing conflict as a “short-term excursion” meant to eliminate “evil” threats to global stability. He highlighted that over 3,000 targets were struck in the first week alone, crippling the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ ability to communicate. Trump’s rhetoric aims to reassure voters that American troops will not be stationed in the region indefinitely.
The economic fallout remains a focal point as global markets react to the blockage of the Strait of Hormuz. Trump has maintained a tough stance, threatening “death, fire, and fury” if Iran continues to disrupt oil supplies. These warnings have caused significant fluctuations in crude prices, which hit nearly $120 per barrel before cooling on news of a potential resolution.
As the war enters its second week, the human cost has surpassed 1,200 casualties in Iran, with additional losses in Lebanon and Israel. Trump insists that the mission is “very complete, pretty much,” though he stopped short of declaring a formal end to hostilities. The administration’s focus is now on ensuring the “ultimate victory” that prevents future Iranian aggression.
